I would pay extra for this feature . . .
It'll never happen,
but I would love to be able to toggle on some sort of spell/grammar check for the chat I have to read.
I'm not picky about this sort of thing, but some of the stuff out there is really bizarre - of course y'all know this already.

Yep, I worked for a ~50 year old guy who used AOLbonics over IM. Annoying as hell. Especially when half the messages I received were less than 10 words long, so using "u" instead of "you" wasn't because he didn't have enough room to type it out.

In my job i have to type fast and accurately, when I go home my typing goes completely to buggery. Been taking care with syntax, ect all day - can't be arsed when it comes to a game.

In my dream interface it'll correct the grammar as read by the reader - the writer won't notice a difference.

if I'm just snapping through a conversation, I type it all, make some corrections as I go, and fix the rest with the *rightword thing. If it's something a bit more permanent or something that *should* be correct (in game: LFG's, WTS/WTB, etc., or pretty much anything for real life), I take the time to fix ALL the mistakes I made typing it out.
But sometimes, we all have a bad typing day... god knows I had one yesterday....
